For the safety of our members and staff, the Annual Meeting of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club will be held online virtually on Saturday, January 22, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will not be in-person attendance at the Annual Meeting this year. The traditional social party that accompanies the event will be moved to a future date when the current Covid -19 Pandemic is less impactful than today.

The agenda for the Annual Meeting will primarily cover electing officers and three members of the Board of Governors, providing committee reports, approving minor administrative changes to the Club’s Constitution and Bylaws, and transacting such other business as may properly come before this meeting.

Voting Procedure

Voting on the officers and governors will again be done electronically this year. The eBallot will be emailed on January 12 to all members who have an email address on file with the Club. Paper ballots will be distributed to members who receive their Club statements by mail only. If, by chance, you received the eBallot by email and also a paper ballot by mail, please only vote via eBallot. Ideally, we need as many Club member as possible cast ballots, so please be sure to cast yours, either by eBallot or by a paper ballot delivered to the Club’s business office. To be counted, a ballot must be received by the Club no later than 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

Note: Each membership is allowed one vote. The voting member is the primary member listed on your membership account. If you have a question about who the voting member is in your household please contact the Club at 757-423-4500.
