Pursuant to Article 6, Section 1, of the Constitution of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, your Nominating Committee, consisting of Dr. James Forrester, Mr. Richard Keatley, Mrs. Anne Cabell Pearce, Mrs. Sarah Weinberg, and Mr. Gordon Wolcott has nominated the following candidates for the Club officers and vacancies on the Board of Governors for 2024 to be voted on at the Annual Meeting:

Proposed Amendments to Club's Constitution
Voting Procedure - Return Proxy by January 1, 2024
Any member who has opted for e-mail notifications shall receive his or her proxy by e-mail, and any member who has not shall receive his or her proxy by postal U.S. mail. All proxies will be distributed the week of December 18, 2023. Your proxy must be returned to the Secretary of the Club no later than 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Annual Meeting
Article 4, Section 5, of the Club’s Constitution requires that at least ten (10) percent of the Members attend the annual meeting in person to have a quorum, and it is urged that all Members be present. The Ballroom doors and bar will open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6 p.m. once a quorum is met.
Important Information
- A majority of members will be receiving their proxies on Monday, December 18 via email through the secure online voting platform eBallot.
- Each membership is allowed one vote. The voting member is the primary member listed on your membership account.
- Non-resident members are non-voting members and will not receive a proxy next week.
