Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, a private club whose history dates back to 1896, welcomes the use of its private facilities by both members and sponsored nonmembers. Let us entertain your clients, family and friends by providing fabulous dinners, wine tastings, sporting events, holiday parties, business networking get-togethers and more.

 

Private Function Arrangements

The management and staff of Norfolk Yacht welcome you and thank you for considering the Club for your next private function. Whether you’re hosting a small meeting for 10 people or a dinner for 250, our Catering Director, John Fowler will be happy to assist you in planning your special event at the Club. We will work with you through the entire planning process and to take the burden of planning a successful event off your shoulders.  
 

Wedding Reception Policy

Guests must be sponsored by a current member of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. If the bride or groom’s parents or grandparents are not current members of the Club, the reception is considered a non-member reception.

Rooms and Capacities

 

THE MAIN BALLROOM This room can be distinguished by the floor-to-ceiling windows providing a sun-drenched room with a lovely view of the Lafayette River and the surrounding waterways. It is appointed with touches of Williamsburg, a thirteen hundred square foot parquet dance floor and access to the outdoor terrace. Capacities Seated around dance floor: 280 Seated with tables on dance floor: 400 Cocktail Reception: 500           THE HAMPTON AND REGENCY ROOM Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal a panoramic view of the Lafayette River, a magnificent view of the harbor and other Club amenities. This area can accommodate a variety of events. These rooms offer space for a buffet and food stations, as well as a portable dance floor. A second floor terrace off the Hampton Room allows guests to enjoy our riverfront location. Capacities Seated Only: 12     THE SKIPPER'S LOUNGE Overlooks the Club's harbor facilities and the Lafayette River and adjoins an outside terrace. This room provides the perfect location for meetings, seminars and small private dining functions. Capacities Seated: 30                      Cocktail: 40                 THE MAIN DINING ROOM AND LAFAYETTE ROOM Both rooms offer marvelous views of the harbor facilities from upstairs. They may be used for a variety of private functions on days when this area is not scheduled for membership activities.
